yo guys as you can see, i'm a newbie. just watched oscar del la hoya on sky sports, he was asked how a mayweather-pacman fight would go, he favoured Floyd. would like to hear your idea's on the fight that never was. he also made no excuses for his defeat, and seems happy in his new roll as a promoter. Q1 will the fight ever go ahead? Q2 who will win cheers guys, love to hear your views
A. I do agree in that I think Mayweather would win if they fight B. However, Oscar has a stake in Floyd and Pacman is promoted by his competitor Arum so there is no way he would ever say Pac would win anyway
He came across very well i agree with his take on the Mayweather Pac fight disagree on the Mosley one he was very respectful to Pac
With the egos and such at stake, I don't know if Pac-Floyd will ever go anywhere. I'm certainly hopeful though. I think Floyd should be favored, but Pacquiao has a very good chance to upset him. Partially because of Floyd's far lower work rate, and partially because Floyd has allowed fighters of a far, far lesser caliber than Pacquiao to back him into a defensive shell/survival mode and swarm him.
The beauty of the fight, if its to be made, is that its anyone's fight. I favor Pac but have no issue if someone favors Floyd. Will it be made? It's the only fight that matters. Truth is Floyd and Pac need another prime ATG fighter on their resumes to be considered truly great. That's right, for me to consider either a proper ATG I want to see them against a prime bonafide ATG cuz lord knows they're both lacking, Floyd more than Pac, in that department. So yes, they both need each other, the world wants to see it. If they don't do it it's a black mark on both their legacies.
I cant take anything that cross dresser says serious, hes probably the phoniest person in the history of boxing.
oscar is usually wrong with his "predictions." so i'm thinking in all likelihood he actually feels pac would beat floyd. after all, he once stated pac punches harder and is faster than floyd.
He said he knew he was going to lose the fight with Pacquiao (if that's the fight you're talking about)
