I worry for Oscar. Not many people can survive 2 super public rounds of humiliation. Throw in the coke addiction and you've got a recipe for potentially fatal results.
He is a clown but business is business. GGG has “prior knowledge and evidence” that Canelo was juicing for the first fight and he still signed the rematch contract. Wtf did they do to deserve more money which is this whole situation ina nutshell. They’re not Aside and cannot provide on their end the money they’re asking for. They had to be moved to stub hub for a Vanes fight nobody was asking for when they had in their power to drop the date and get a far better opponent that would’ve helped their case. The rematch was already suffering before any drama unfolded. The first fight venue sold out in days. The second fight ticket sales were ongoing until the fight was canceled. This lets you know it was not going to outdo the first fight. People basically have a general idea the outcome of the rematch. It’s a Kovalev/Ward scenario. People cried foul but then know whose going to win. The walls are closing in on Golovkin. He refuses to fight a real challenge to better his position. Meanwhile the idiot is already 36. Anymore stalling only continues to hurt him. Save yourself the time and just accept your overpaid Bside position. It’s not hard. People are not going to to pay him to fight cans or mismatches anymore. Can’t have your cake and eat it too.
The dude wears fishnet. You expect him to be an honest man with morals. The dude always had the inner scumbag and was never a role model. He is fake AF.
If I were Loeffler I would send a contract over and make it public what was on it. Place 6 boxes for Oscar and Canelo to check. Winner gets % percentage of purse, ticket sales, ppv: __50% __60% __70% __80% __90% __100% Pick which one and sign. Any rejection of such contract would make them look they are pu&*ing out.
Doesn’t matter what we think, put yourself in that position, this is prize fighting after all,you really think you’d have the same attitude we’re it you who were fighting. I can imagine this being about other stuff anyway like trying to sort out these judging mistakes, fortunately the 118/110 didn’t have a bearing on the fight but it could of done so I imagine that will be the issue in any negotiations
The rounds were close AA. I know you don't agree with 118-110, neither do I, but this is boxing and outlier judges are not uncommon throughout history in boxing. It happened in Floyd Pacquiao, Floyd Berto, SRL Hagler, etc etc etc. You study the rounds that Byrd gave to Canelo that the other judges gave to Golovkin, those were not dominate rounds by Golovkin. I'm not sitting here defending Byrd OK, I agree it's a stretch giving all those rounds to Canelo, but lets not act like those were easy rounds to score. Canelo was doing very well in those rounds, taking his time, you know, setting traps, creating openings and catching Golovkin coming in being over aggressive.
I can't wait to watch and listen to Oscar sell Canelo Vs Spike. The excuses for Canelo not fighting GGG, BJS, Jacobs, Charlo and fighting a man that Eubank Jr smashed around will be interesting.
