Im sorry but I dont like fights when two guys are way out of their prime. This fight is totally for money and It wont be anywhere near the quality of their first bout. Im not excited about this at all.
A couple of weeks ago someone started a thread that suggested that Calzaghe vs. Kessler was a done deal....but nothing. I'd be kind of suprised if De La Hoya vs. Trinidad II happened....I mean, what weight would it be at? Oscar's 160 experiment didn't go very well, and I don't see Trinidad coming down to 154, so that's a problem right there....not to mention the nightmare scenario of the purse bargaining, venue, date, ring size, gloves, etc....
as boring as their first fight..no way I am anticipating this fight..sopcast here I come. Give me floyd vs mosley now that will be a fight.
But how? At what weight? Who will get the bigger purse? Who will promote it? What size will the ring be? Where will it happen? When? See my point? There's a lot that would have to be worked out....unless Trinidad was willing to agree to Oscar's terms just to get in the spotlight again....or if Oscar was willing to agree to Trinidad's terms just to get Trinidad in the ring again.
The same questions were brought up when DLH/PBF was mentioned, in the end they made it happen. Expect the same to happen here. Don't forget that DLH showed interest in this fight before the PBF fight and he wanted that fight WAY more.
I'd like to see it happen....I really doubt that it would be as boring as the first time. If Trinidad could get in good shape, I have a feeling that it could be a slugfest. It would all depend on wether Trinidad could get motivated and get in good shape....otherwise Oscar wins no problem.
I'm sure that DLH will box but won't be TOO careful like he was the first time and the reason to that is Trinidad's lack of serious speed at this age, expect some exciting exchanges during the fight but at the end also expect both guys to be TOO tired to land anything dangerous nor run around(DLH). I'd love to see Trinidad win it but I'm going to pick Oscar here simply because he showed what he's all about in his last fight, power/speed and legendary disciple. Trinidad hasn't been active for TOO long.
i remember reading that trinidad said he would fight oscar again, only if it was at 160 and if don king and old man trinidad promote the event. now would oscar let king promote a fight he is taking part in?? as for the weight, oscar might have to take a page out of PBF'S book and go into the fight a few pounds under the weight limit, even if tito was 160 and dlh 154 i dont think it would change the result of the fight, DLH scores a late stopage imo. i think it could really be a pretty good fight. if they put some good young up and comers on the card it would deffinatley be worth watching. :bbb
It would be cool seeing a rematch but I'd rather watch him against Cotto/Margarito winner or Hatton at a catchweight. DLH beats all four men.
gotta take DLH on this one, quite easily. tito coming off a longasas layoff, is out of shape plus in their primes i think odlh beat him. if the rematch does happen. its gonna be big bidness but i dont think the mayweather/odlh PPV record sales will be broken
The more I think about this, the more DLH not being able to make 160 at this stage sounds very silly and rather fishy.
