The interviewer asked if he would ever consider fighting him and ODH responded by saying he would but Margarito needs to continue to elevate his name first. He did also say that Margo is close to becoming an household name.

So does that mean if Margo beats Mosley and Cotto that by this time next year we could be seeing Dela Hoya-Margarito? Or is it more less Dela Hoya talking b.s.?

IMO, Oscar is a very easy guy to understand.

If Margarito's status ever reaches the point where DLH will get "The World Awaits" type PPV numbers, Oscar will fight him.

Im convinced he wants to be the first sports billionaire.

    Yeah, yeah, yeah.

By the time Margo gets his name elevated enough for Oscar, the Golden Boy will be retired.

I don't think those two will ever fight.

Hes right though, Margarito doesn't deserve a shot at boxings biggest payday. Its only just over a year ago he lost to Williams, who at that point hadn't really achieved much. Why doesn't he concentrate on rectifying his recent loss and establish himself as the undoubted man at 147.

Margarito needs to beat the top fighters at 147 lbs. After a win over Mosley, and either Cotto or Berto then he should target Williams. If he can overcome all of these guys then he is teh undisputed best at 147 lbs. Until then I doubt ODLH would fight him, I think he is partially talking BS but would fight him if the price was high enough.

that's ****en stupid to say, IF ANYONE DESERVES IT, it's margo....
what the **** did forbes do to deserve a fight, what the **** has manny done to deserve a fight with oscar....
the truth is, we can question everybody but the real question is, WHAT THE **** HAS OSCAR DONE TO BE WHO THE **** HE IS....if it's just fighting anybody who is out there, then margo should get a fight next....

I'd say get by SSM, skip Cotto (been there done that and Miguel was punished), go for Williams or another top champion. I guess Arum is demanding the Cotto rematch.

Everyone is well aware Forbes was just a tune up fight. Margo isn't a big name yet, same with cotto and Williams. I know you realize that DLH only wants big super fights like Mayweather, so I'm confused to why you're so angry over nothing....

Once again, I think it's Oscar talking bs. I'd give Oscar his props if he decided to fight Margo in late '09 though.

you dont go 12 hard rounds in a tune up fight :lol::lol:

and i aint angry, just tired of oscar brain washing everybody into thinking that "real fighters" need some kind of resume check before facing him.....the last time i checked, he lost most of his big fights, so who the **** is he to say that ****.....
