JOE CALZAGHE IS THE BEST BOXER IN THE WORLD IS NOT A COWARD!.. Hopkins got lucky against him, in a rematch Calzaghe would abuse Hopkins, he would kill pavlik and chad dawson. Calzaghe is too fast, intelligent and skillfull for anybody else in the world:)

Oscar is no coward. I don't know where people get off on this. He's fought the biggest names in the sport.

speaking of dlh, i dont think it's ok to call someone a "wuss" who fought every one in his generation. regardless of controversial wins, the fact is that he fought the best out there at all times. regardless of the fact that he is now milking the sport for money, you cant deny his resume.

there are many other fighters you can consider wusses, but DLH is definitely not high on that list.

Calling DLH a wuss is a joke, stupid thread, disrespectful to both fighters.

Oscar Delahoya could have ballsed up and gave Quartey a rematch, could have gave Sturm a rematch, could have probably beat an aging Whitaker controversially again in a rematch but those fights never happened. Why? Was watching him beat up Chavez again worth it? Is watching this fight vs Pacquiao worth it? I don't know who was to blame for not getting the Trinidad rematch signed if money or ego were the key factors, I don't know. I will give him all the props in the world for taking on these guys, but his actions after the Quartey fight are not worthy of being called a champion. Maybe Oscar caught me on a bad week because I just recently watched Chavez, Quartey, Whitaker and the Mosely fights.

Sidenote, Jermain Taylor at least got back in the ring with Pavlik immediately and got back in the ring with Hopkins immediately. He didn't crawl under the rug and avoid rematches with his toughest competition.

Calzaghe is another story because he almost falls into the same category as Roy Jones a few years back for not cleaning up his division. He's clearly avoiding Pavlik after calling him out earlier in his career. RJJ never fought
the European light heavies Graciano or Dariusz and I don't know who's fault those are. He finally fought Tarver and might be damaged for life after those fights.

I just find it hard that Calzaghe gets a lot of talk about being one of the greatest fighters of all time in the same sentence as Robinson, Ali, Joe Louis, and in some other threads, ahead of the greatest light heavyweights when he's barely fought anyone outside of Europe. He will never ever be mentioned as one of the greatest light heavies of all time in my books. Certainly a very good champion for his time, but nothing more.

Is that the same Pavlik who after he and his trainer have been calling out Calzaghe, Jack Loew now says will be staying at middleweight for the foreseeable future?

I take it the same standards will be applied and everyone will acknowledge that Pavlik is avoiding Calzaghe.
