You're kidding right?! Margarito would walk down the DLPollo just as he did to Cotto. As stated above, Steve Forbes busted up the Pollo and he's got absolutely no pop whatsoever. But hey, let's see it. It would be a fitting end to the Pollo and then he can go back to what he really loves, taking money from poor boxing fans so he can become a "billionaire" and picking up on 14 year olds...ohh wait, that one settled out of court and the records were sealed. Whoops my bad. atsch
Del La Hoya could not keep up with Margarito's work rate, and would fold in the later rounds. Margarito UD12.
If this was 1999, I'd agree with you. Oscar is pushing 36. He lost most of his big fights since 1999.
DLH will get stopped here, he's just too old for someone like Margarito who will be on him from start to finish. Though if Margarito was a minimumweight planning to move all the way up to light middleweight then expect it to be signed(but with over 10 pro-DLH options) within 1 week or less.
De La Hoya would finally know how is was for Chavez. When a new young Lion would come in and tear him to pieces.
DLH has an underrated defense and i'm sure just because he is who he is that Margarito shows him a bit of respect.
I doubt that this version of Oscar could beat Margarito. Prime Oscar would have beat Margo comfortably.
Yeah, but if the fight were at 154 you can't expect Marg to fight the way he does now. You can expect him to still be good, but the days of bullying a guy around the ring will be largely over. You would expect more of the Williams/Marg fight than the Cotto/Marg. Not saying he'll loose as in Williams but it will be much more competitive.
Guy, he bullied Santos around the ring and Santos is no doubt bigger than DLH. DLH looks flabby at 161lbs. Santos was sculpted at 170..
His speed is going. He couldnt have hit PBF clean if I lent him my .12 gauge. And he didnt look too fast against the nobody Forbes.
