Who wins at a catch weight of say 165? I like to see these two fight each other then retire to the announcers table and nothing more. Joe wants big money, Delahoya's probably still the biggest name out there.
No way in hell JC makes 165. DLH wouldn't be able to weigh in at 165 without being a bit soft either.
Silly thread. Oscar would never take this fight...especially after his embarassments at 160. He's looking to be the bigger guy beating up on the smaller guy nowadays.
Wow. Oscar didnt have the BALLS to take this fight, and he listens to Richard Schaefer. My dick has more boxing knowledge/expertise than Richard Schaefer. Had Jack Presscot been advising Oscar???? 1. INSTANT rematch, challenge accepted last year, during the Money-DLH replay on the Saturday following Cinco de Mayweather. Would it have pissed some fans off? Yup. Would we have sold out the MGM Grand Garden, and broken PPV records on 16th de Septiembre, Mexican Independence Day, in Vegas? Yup. Win lose or draw, Oscar would have made another 30 million, and at least attempted redemption. 2. May 5th, 2008, at the Staples Center. Oscar de la Hoya vs. Miguel Cotto. Oscar defeats the juggernaut like Margarito did, for a 147 WBA belt, and is now a player in the game. AND nobody can say **** about his credibility, as he is now a Champion at 147. 3. January 2009. The Rematch of the Millenium, at 165. Oscar de la Hoya vs. Felix "Tito" Trinidad. The first Superfight of 2009, a 10 years later rematch being compared to Hearns-Leonard 2, and breaks PPV records again. Again, W, L or D, Oscar is respected for attempting redemption. Instead, we get Oscar de la Panties vs. Verne Troyer for the WMA's 147 title.
Well considering how Hopkins easily backed De La Hoya up after six rounds of feeling each other out, and considering how easily Calzaghe had Hopkins backed up in their fight, then this fight is a no brainer. Calzaghe just goes right through De La Hoya and stops him with a body attack. Part of me would find it interesting though, because De La Hoya has enough class about him to maybe make the fight more trickier for Calzaghe than I described above.
I've noticed you doing this same thing before. Aren't you starting to realize that nobody else finds you remotely hilarious?? atsch
No offence, but this is a pathetic idea for a thread. Calzaghe is a fully-fledged light-heavyweight (175lbs), and Oscar could not cope at 160lbs. It would be a mismatch. Why not have the winner of Sam Peter and Vitali Klitschko fight Paulie Malignaggi on Christmas Day instead??
