I rewatched this fight last night and I have to ask....what the hell was wrong with Delahoya in the middle of the fight???? Did he not train for this fight? He didn't even look like he wanted to win or was trying to win. Anyway I scored it 6 rounds to 6 rounds, but Delahoya got the 10-8 round in the 12th which gave him the victory. The 10th round (I believe) and the 11th round I gave to Oscar, I don't have my scorecard in front of me but I think those were really close rounds, the 9th was close as well though which I gave to Quartey. Again I don't have my scorecard but remember the scoring going like this: 1 - Delahoya (close) 2 - Quartey 3 - Delahoya 4 - Delahoya 5 - Quartey 6 - Quartey 7 - Quartey 8 - Quartey 9 - Quartey 10- Delahoya 11- Delahoya 12- Delahoya 10-8 Delahoya 114 Quartey 113 Good fight...should have been a rematch. :deal
I remember him looking somber and umotivated in the locker room and the announcers mentioning some **** he was going through with his babies mama. Shanna Moakler. She was fine back in the day but I think married that grotesque Travis barker guy.:verysad
Delahoya lost this fight and the only reason i guess you could give it to him is because he knocked Quartey down twice.
No I think the 10th and 11th rounds are the deciding factor. I gave them to Oscar, but can see how some gave them to Quartey.
Very close fight in everyone's eyes. I had Quartey winning until the 10th round also but Golden Boy came back with his magic.
The rounds were so clear cut. Quartey by one point, no doubt at all. I watched it 3 times and always scored it the same. DH was getting oujabbed in the middle round, he was not busy enough. Dh lost about 3-4 rounds in a row.
Hoya was trying to load up the left hook time and time again to make him back off but he was not just about to walk through Quartey's punches so he was feinting and stepping in and out of range. Hoya won that fight with that last round, I agree with that view and score.
