From memory it was 115-113 for Oscar. I'm pretty sure I had it even going into the last. Oscar pulled it out when it mattered, and nearly knocked him out!
115-112 Quartey. Easy fight to score. 3 of the first 5 to Quartey (I have it written down exactly which rounds went to DLH and which to Ike), round 6 goes to Quartey when both guys went down (Ike controlled the round after the KDs), rounds 7-9 for Quartey, round 10 to DLH, round 11 to Quartey, round 12 to DLH 10-8. DLH spent too many rounds doing nothing. Much closer to a robbery than the so-called robberies DLH had against other fighters (like Whitaker and the Mosley rematch).
Watched it on demand right now 1. DLH close 2. DLH close 3. DLH clear 4. Ike close 5. Ike clear 6. Ike clear (both guys KD) 7. Ike clear 8. Draw 9. Ike close 10. DLH clear 11. Ike close 12. DLH clear + KD 6 to quartey 5 to DLH + a kd 1 rd a draw close fight, clearly not a robbery
Quartey 115 De La Hoya 114 Would ahve been great to see the decision go the right way and have a rematch!
I also had Ike by a point. He was just more active throughout most of the rounds while Oscar decided to coast ineffectively through them (mainly the middle rounds), and outscored him.
I felt Oscar was fighting scared for much of the fight, in the prefight interviews he was extremely negative, he even talked about losing... It was weird...
1-Oscar 2-Quartey 3-Oscar 4-Oscar 5-Quartey 6-Quartey 7-Quartey 8-Quartey 9-Quartey 10-Oscar 11-Oscar 12-Oscar 114-113 for DLH.
Thats my exact card with a 10-8 round of course in the 12th. Actually started a thread on this earlier in the week. Thought Oscar did absolutely **** in the middle of the fight but saved the victory in the championship rounds. :deal
