It was frustrating watching Chisora tonight. He was good enough to beat Vitali but his conditioning let him down. The stages in the fight where he plodded forward, are the reason he lost. When he was moving his head and body he was simply the better fighter.
You're so right about the workrate. It doesn't look like Chisora has any stamina issues, he's just done 12 rounds with the number 2 in the division and didn't look ****ed. He does need to up his workrate though. Chisora is very much a poor man's Frazier, but it seems that his style really worked against Vitali which is not a massive surprise as nowadays that sort of style is very rare indeed.
The fight didn't really surprise me, Chisora did well and once again proved he's a tough son of a gun and really does bring it. Sadly he is a real novice i mean were talking about a guy with 18 AM bouts and not that much pro fights. He went in there tonight and grew into the fight. Early on is where he lost the fight for me, he gave away early rounds and took a few more then he really should have. It was when Charles said 'Listen to Dean, He's right! your walking in straight lines'. Spot on from Powell because Chisora plodded forwards without much thought, it was the next two rounds after that rallying call where Chisora gained some success maybe nicked a round or two on our cards. I think his conditioning was ok in circumstances, his footwork sadly was part of his downfall and needs to be worked on. He will of gained a great deal from tonight but lost a fair bit at same time physically. I'd let him rest up for a month then slowly get back into things. I felt his jab was effective but sadly he didn't use it enough, he also didn't put punches together. There's a lot to add to his game but if he takes it on board he could be a world champion in few years time. He needs consistency in his work, he also needs to add more to his strength speaking to a mate of mine he said about dynamic stuff being added to his strength work and he's spot on. Dereck needs to become more rounded as a boxer and athlete. He's shown he's world class but he could add to this performance!.

I agree about his conditioning, cant fault his heart, but I personally thought Chisora was feeling it quite early on
I fully agree. I expect him to win a world belt at some point, he has plenty of strengths, has an unusual style for the division, technically proficient and his trainers/cornermen are very competent Still hate him, mind.
ESB is back :happy Well done to Chisora he was a lot more competitive than I thought he made Vitali look the older man for a change. Done well to get inside Vitali's jab and straight punches just he didn't throw when he was there. Vitali looked very old tonight his lean back defence was non existent which I was surprised at took a lot of shots I didn't think he would of been hit by. Chisora jab to the body was a nice thing to see against the big men. Hope he gets the shot at Wald he's been looking but unless the division clears out I can't see him picking a title up.
Has anyone else heard Chris Arreola's post-fight interview? ''As a kid I always wanted to meet Don King, but I have to say that that guy's a ****in' *******, he's racist!'' EDIT: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFLjrirF894[/ame]
Vitali is not very good anymore. I've seen this in him since his return to be honest. He hasn't fought anybody that's any good at all. If he was fighting even a competent heavyweight from times gone by he'd be very easily put away. Tonight just showed it up for what it was, a decent fighter in Chisora that's very inexperienced made him look ordinary from rounds 4-12. He's pretty slow, throws loads of arm punches, not much power. Trading on his size and awkwardness IMO, Wladimir is much superior.
