Either him or Floyd Sr....best trainer in boxing. The way he devises gameplans to totally take the opponent out of their fight is breathtaking. My favorite back and forth in the past few years... (during Hop/Pav 24/7) Hopkins - "Thats one hell of a right hand. How are we gonna deal with that Nazim?" Hopkins then looks over with this smile, ear to ear, like he knew what was coming next... Nazim (without taking his eyes off the screen) - "We're gonna put it away in the same drawer we put Trinidad's left hook!" Hop just continues to smile. Obviously knowing EXACTLY what he meant. Fast forward to tonight (Ive obviously only watched it once, so its not word for word)... Mosely - "We had the perfect gameplan!" Merchant - "Can you tell us what that gameplan was Shane?" Mosely looks over at Nazim and gets that same ear to ear smile Hop got on the 24/7. He looks back and Merchant and just smiles.... Gave me chills. Nazim is the ****ing man!!!
I've been saying this for a long time, Nazim is very underrated and a truly great trainer, one of the best out there. Only difference is that he doesn't brag about it much which is why not many give him the attention he deserves but obviously doesn't bother with.
He's one of the trainers that dont get talked about alot, but he is a good one, I've been saying that for a long time.
