I am delighted for the kid. I was starting to become swayed by the negative assholes that have glass chin ratings on this site. You know the kind of assholes that don't care about fighters or the sport. Well done Amir, you are a world champ!!
what was the fight like was it entertaining or depressing watching an old fighter bein circled and watching the end of his career?
i scored it like this: round 1: 10-9 khan round 2: 10-9 khan round 3: 10-9 khan round 4: 9-10 kotelnik round 5: 10-9 khan round 6: 10-9 khan round 7: 10-9 khan round 8: 9-10 kotelnik round 9: 10-9 khan round 10: 10-10 draw round 11: 10-9 khan round 12: 9-10 kotelnik result: 8-3-1 khan/ 117-112 khan he did a good job tonight
**** me, tabulation error on my card: I actually had it 116-112 for Khan, not 117-111. Whoops. atsch I gave Khan 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,10 I gave Kotelnik 4,9,11,12
Props to Amir! :goodHe won fair and square! No robbery on British soil! Khan was too quick and fast for Kotelnik+the Ukranian's style was tailor made for the man from Pakistan.
Kotelnic is not an old fighter, he was very strong at the end of the fight. He was just outclassed and out thought. Kotelnic landed some good shots and khan took them. Great fight, very proud of Amir. I wasn't really a fan, but he showed real class.
As it turns out, were I not **** at basic arithmetic, so did I. :yep Bah. :!: Actually, the eleventh was a very charitable round for Kotelnik...could easily see it for Khan. 8-4 and 9-3 are pretty much the acceptable swing here. 120-108, as one official card had it - atrocious. Mother****ing draw, as some troll on here had it - atrociouser.
Good job by Khan,he didn't go in and trade, he used his strengths to win the fight, and used his brain in the sense that whenever he got tagged he moved out rather than start swinging and Freddie Roach deserves credit for that. Kotelnik ain't no bum, he dont get knocked out and Khan beat him handily. It was good matchmaking cause Id still wouldnt put Khan against someone like Bradley yet,and obviously not Pacman. Hatton would be huge but Id like to see him against Prescott to exorcise the demons and prove to us all that he's really improved as a boxer P.s. Did Prescott get beat last night ?
