Khan fought beautifully that round, leaving Kotelnik befuddled. Khan got in and out, landed great body shots, and I don't think he was hit with a single punch to the end of the round...best round for Khan of the fight, he's looking well. 6-1 Khan on my card
For the Ukrainian to have a chance he'll need to find a serious second wind, entering the eighth. Khan still looks like he could start another twelve rounder right now. Jab, jab, jab, jab. Khan not as agile on his feet as in early rounds but still able to keep more than adequate distance by basically shuffling backwards faster than Andreas can take a full step. Khan finding a real weapon with the uppercut to the body under Kotelnik's elbow after having him "watch the birdie" with a few rapid-fire jabs. Kotelnik basically following Khan around with his hands up now. Big flurry from Kotelnik with 20 seconds left, misses every single power punch. Khan slipping well. Khan now dancing around Kotelnik in the center of the ring and landing jabs. They tie up and the bell rings. 79-73 Khan This is officially a clinic.
R8 goes to Khan too, Kotelnik definitely tired but fighting back brave. Khan is just a BIT less cautious than before, I sense concentration drop, he gets away with it so far, but it's ain't over yet. Khan round.
Kotelnik came on a bit better that round, with a lot of Khan's punches getting blocked, but because Khan was still more active I give him the round...also, a Pernell Whitaker bit of defense by Khan near the end of the round, leaving Kotelnik whiffing about 5-6 punches in a row...7-1 Khan
