Maybe you don't punch that hard. Especially with head gear and sparring gloves. Punchers are born, not made. Also maybe you are pulling your shots and not punching through.
Your young and stupid so you wont be thinking about the bigger picture. Just focus on outboxing and you might just time one along the way. Its the outboxing thats king.
What is your weight and what is the weight of the other guy? Also, do you have a video of yourself so I can do a form-check for you?
Ay, you not supposed to be going 100% in sparring . You are supposed to be testing your skillet not your KO game because the KO is not what you train for. If you have a real trainer he should chastise you for even trying. Are you over 180 pounds? If not where the proper gives for your weight unless you are like a 17 year old Mike Tyson.
Call yourself Golovkin and your fans will automatically create mythical stories about you knocking out Heavyweights in sparring while you simply knock off every fast food joint known to Earth.
Typically, but I have noticed that some gyms actually want you to go all out in sparring and spar at that level very often. Granted those gyms are ****ing terrible and if you are a member of one you should definitely seek out a better one in your area.
When you train like that you are subject to be plagued with injuries. If you not not going pro or competing soon then go for it ,if you are planning on getting in the business you never should. He should push himself in training that's correct, but if someone was full on swinging on me it's go time. I'ma beat your balls and dick like Cotto vs Judah or Salido vs Lomachencko or Marquez vs Norwood. I'm busting out "tactical maneuvers" on your lower extremities. Golata vs Bowe 1&2.
Tons of injuries that prevent you from even training. My coach explained what was wrong with going at it like that when I first started. "There are a lot of ways to improve yourself in boxing. You can't do any of them if you are injured." You're a ball puncher though, bro? Lol. That's funny. At my old gym usually what would happen is that the new guy would come in trying to show off how tough he is and go 100%, get warned about it and if they persisted their partner who would always be considerably more experienced than them, would just crack them and calm that **** right down haha.
Its pretty hard to drop someone with 16/18 oz gloves but it does happen. Also why are you teeing off on this guy?
I personally believe you are going in to sparring with the wrong attitude, sparring is not about blasting out your sparring partner, in my opinion sparring is more about putting in to practice all the drills you have been working on, ironing out flaws, discovering and working on your weaknesses. Also I believed you should focus more on accuracy than power, but there are times in tough spars you might want or need to get somebody off of you or you are under a lot of pressure so if you don't carry natural power then may I suggest a well placed body shot, work on becoming a seriously good body puncher.
