Robbed? Not really. I heard from a very reliable source that Vargas was "in his cage" too (read: Algieri was in his cage during fight night) at the entirety of the fight. Why he never got the "go" signal from his trainer is still a mystery. Maybe kickboxing coaches are like that. (For instance, legendhas it that Algieri is still waiting to pounce on Pac in his cage. Tim Lane is gonna let him go any moment now)
If he got robbed it must have happened in the dressing room after the fight because it sure as hell didn't happen in the ring.
Pac came in small against a full blown roided up Vargas and still knocked him down, that said there was nothing wrong or no shame in losing to Pac man and I'd expect him to have some success against most of the division as he's a big lad with some skill,I know what you're saying though if he'd of come forward more and took it to Manny he maybe would of done better?
scorecards were too wide. but no robbery pac won that fight. mid fight the fight was close, i pulled out of my bet 300 on vargas last moment . good thing. but 2nd half of fight was all pac jessie prolly won 4 or 5 rds. but jessie also got knocked down pac won that fight fair n square but score cards were to wide.
Vargas lost the fight, the last 3 championship rounds he failed to defend his belt, Jesse you have no heart to be a champion.
The term "robbery" is used a little too liberally on this board. It was a good, competitive fight. The 118-110 scorecards (I think that was it,) were a bit too wide IMO, but I thought the right man won that fight. The KD early on helped put some distance in the score cards. But props to Vargas, he performed a lot better than I thought he would.
Who's weight class was he fighting in? I mean, did he steal the weight class or did he barrow it. I know, he must have just found it and used it without the owner's consent. GTFOH
