Maybe Ward had his sneaks on and Kov was barefoot? Not sure. Kov was clearly the bigger man fight night.

Kovalev is closer to 6ft2 than 6ft.

This thread is a joke. GGG would get demolished on all levels. He wouldn't even get a moral victory from this fight and wards hate would exponentially grow.

When we see Golovkin at 175, then we can talk about this. As it stands that would be the only weight where I imagine this could be competitive. At something lower Ward would probably be too drained to deal with the punches and does anyone want to see a fight like this where one fighter isn't at his best? We however don't know if Golovkin's power would carry with him at 170+ (It should) and that is a question that is very important for this fight.

It isn't impossible for Golovkin to outbox Ward. He doesn't need to KO Ward to win, but I think he does need to threaten him with his power to be effective with his offense. I'm going to refrain from voting since we just don't have enough information about Golovkin at this point to make a fair assessment of this hypothetical fight.

Ward is bigger a massive 190+ on fight night. GGG may not KO him.
Ward goes to UD - very easy.

That fight will never materialize since they're 2 weight divisions apart. I can't see Ward going down to SMW to fight him at a CW either since Ward hasn't campaigned in that weight class for years now.

I like Golovkin, I think he's technically superior to Kovalev and doesn't have stamina issues like Sergey either. But I think the ship has sailed long ago in that potential match. I'd imagine he'd have to come up at least 10 lbs for it to even be considered.

Ward and quite more easily than against Kovalev.

Ward is Bigger, and has longer reach than Triple G and boxing skills that match up with anyone.

Not to mention, Ward is a pretty accurate puncher and I think Triple who gets hit more than people think would be eating that jab all night. Ward, being that he's bigger and more naturally attuned to 175, which is what the fight would have to be at will pay dividends.

This shouldn't even be a question. You'd be asking GGG to move up two divisions.

Ward wins this. Kovalev is the tougher fight.

LOL - Just saw "Micky" -- Touche OP, Touche! Nice one!
