A lot of what you say is true, but sometimes pics could be deceiving. I've seen pics of Andre the Giant and Chuck Wepner, where Andre seemed barely taller than Chuck. Not that he ever was 7'4, he was in reality about 6'11 and Chuck is tall also at 6'5. Than you watch their fight on youtube and then you can see the height difference.
Similar thing when Wladimir fought Fury, HBO was saying that no way is Fury 6'9 because at the press conference they seemed almost equal in height. Then when they got in the ring he really was 6'9 with a lot longer reach than Wlad.

This pic proves **** to be honest. It is all about the angle of the camera. Liston had very long arms and his hands were huge

(Yes it was a very young foreman who was with him but look at the reach of liston arms)

Liston wasnt very tall by modern standards at 6'1, but perception is tricky. In this photo he looks very WIDE and bulky next to foreman who was 6'3 1/2 and 220 lbs.

Lissen up...I'll settle all this Liston reach/shoulder width malarky...ok? First you determine thigh length..both thighs of course...an' you add them together then divide by two...then you multiply the the two known lengths by factor "x"..("x" = 2)...then you double that total...divide by three an' you have a total that's divisible by 3...there's your answer...3 equal parts representing the TRUE length of Liston's two arms, PLUS the shoulder width. You can use this formula to determine the same measurements of any fighter in any weight division, btw.

Liston really didn't have long arms...oh no, not at all....it was just that his torso was abnormally short...I think you pointed that out to me one time in another post @Boxed Ears....geesh!!

His alleged reach was clearly a fabrication. Still a big framed guy relative to his height which was only a little over 183 cm.

This version of george was 18 years old and again.. It is the angle of the camera, here foreman looks clearly the bigger man despite he was an adolescent

If anybody watched the boxing lastnight and believe for one second Liston had a bigger reach than the giant David Price i can tell you now you need your head testing!

He looks like a beast in the foto to me. Look how small the cards are in his hands.. I would fold the winning hand if he glared at me like that

Liston wasn’t very tall for his time period either.

Neither were Dempsey, Louis, Johnson, Marciano, Foreman.

These guys were often not the tallest guys in the room.

There were a gang of modern sized SHWs in Dempsey’s era. They knew what tall was.

Lewis, Bowe, Klitschko, Carnera, and Willard are the lineal champs who were almost always the tallest in the room.
