Glen Johnson put him to sleep which is even worse. Roy handpicked Ruiz for a couple of reasons:

He had a pitiful KO record having not scored a KO in over 3 years before they fought

Ruiz has no skill at all

Any version of Roy gets his Glass Jaw shattered at Cruiserweight.

 

Roy already said after Calzaghe he might go heavyweight again, and named Peter as a possible opponent. If Peter loses to Vitali I'm sure Roy will scrap the idea as he probably only intends to fight heavyweight belt holders under 6'2'' or so.

If Roy is anything like he is now at 200, he wouldn't last. If him gaining weight made him better, you never know. The Roy before Ruiz, would have done exceptionally well.

 

Bad move, IMO.
