Gee, you can be killed again the Afterlife?

    I guess where Liston’s concerned, that’s a strong possibility.

Idealistically, in heaven, you get your very own Happy Place and it all goes exactly as you wish.

That includes Sonny doing wheelies on his beloved Red Tricycle. All good - just do not mock the MAN.

If you can’t help yourself and let out a derisive giggle, maybe you could opt to outrun him, from cloud to cloud - I mean, really, how much speed could Liston achieve on that little trike of his - especially with those big knees crashing into the handle bars with each and every pedal?

Of course I’m assuming Sonny went Uptown and not Downtown.

Though he probably had to ride the purgatory train for a little while before being allowed to pass through the pearly gates.

Liston’s major sin? Well God bet quite a bit of Heaven Coin on him in Miami - the Big Chief wasn’t too pleased when Sonny quit but the Supreme Being is nothing if not ultimately forgiving.

Haha. Very true. I believe Sonny also bought those audible clicker things for the spokes to heighten the effect - the clicky sound of impending doom.

I was remiss in not reiterating that Lennox Lewis also already resided in the same Dumpster and the red tricycle was actually his - his choice mode of transport when he went out to forage for food.

When Sonny ripped it out of the dumpster and shut the lid - again, Lewis’ muffled voice could heard demanding - “Bring it on back Maaahn! That’s me trike, not yours. I ain’t nuttin’ without me trike!”

"Sonny was the nicest guy in the world!....when he wasn't drinking".

A friend and trainer partner of his Foneda Cox said. Maybe we all know a person like this. Somebody who takes that first drink and changes severely into anger/resentment/aggression. Not everyone is a happy drunk.
Couple that with the fact that the police did harass Liston. At least in Philadelphia. After he hurt that cop he got a rep and it wasn't going away.

There is a strong possibility Sonny went downtown. Perhaps playing cards with Red Aerobach or Walter O'Malley.

He might have trained seriously for it. That changes alot when a guy is prepared physically but also mentally for battle. The Liston I see in Miami Beach was in 3 round shape.

Yep, I’ve seen alcohol unlock suppressed inner demons in people. You could predict the exact number of beers before they “unlocked” - and it was the same sh*t they came out with every time.

I would guess but don’t know for sure that it can also be due to chemical reaction in the brain that doesn’t tolerate alcohol too well. I knew a guy who steered clear of red wine because it severely altered his behaviours but he was okay with other forms of drinks.

Some say alcohol brings out the true person - others simply say it’s just the alcohol talking - I think either can be true, just depends on the person.

Damn, so you don’t think Sonny made it Uptown?

Maybe, when our times come, we can collectively retrieve Liston from the bowels of Hell so he can participate in all the fantasy matches made in Heaven. Man, I’d hate Sonny to be denied a shot even in the Afterlife.

Sorry, not familiar with the other two guys - what did they do wrong?

May have made a lot of difference in regards to how he actually lost.
Gone out on his shield so to speak.

Walter O'Malley moved the Dodgers out of Brooklyn. He was hated for it. Red Aerobach was the coach and later General Manager of the Boston Celtics. He was known to have hot air pumped into the visiting teams dressing room as well have someone trip the fire alarm at the opponents hotels at 3am.
