I was just about to post this.
Yeah looks like he just didn't want it. I wonder if he'll go back down the WWE path or he'll use his degree for another career path.
Fair play to the lad though.

Was keen to see him crunch through some of the opposition & develop into a real tasty heavyweight.

But it was not to be so I’d like to be the first to wish Oreo the best in his future endeavours

The right thing to do if your heart is not in it; wish him the best in his future endeavours.

He doesn't have the right mentality for professional boxing, so it's not a big surprise.

Fair play to him. Takes a big mentality to recognise your limitations and take a different path. Wonder how the promotional contract works in this instance and whether there are any financial penalties.

Fair play. Boxing isn’t a sport to go into half hearted.

You don't play boxing, if his heart is not in it then it's probably for the best. Probably took a look around the domestic scene and thought better of it.

It was a very underwhelming debut.

Probably a good decision, hopefully he goes well in the corporate world

Fair play. Boxing requires 110% focus and discipline, particularly when starting off as a pro. So sensible decision by him. I'm not sure how far he would have went as he was quite green and untested but would have been nice to have seen his journey, nonetheless.

Assuming QP would have paid a healthy signing bonus, would they get that back or have they done their dough

It’s all contractual and he’s an intelligent guy, so I doubt there will be any issues

Signing bonuses are rarely paid in a lump up front - many footballers get them over the length of a contract just in case of things like this... so I doubt it'd be any issue.

Assume they wouldn't allow him to announce it without loose ends being tied up. Shame but sounds like he's doing the right thing.
