DelValle almost shut out by Darchinyan

Isn't that awkwardness part of boxing? Not every opponent will fight the same way. Del Valle did not adjust to Vic's style. Orlandito was getting hit with the same punches over and over and over. He's not going very far.

He didn't adjust to the awkwardness over those ten rounds enough to earn a win.

That doesn't mean he can't go to the drawing board, watch tape, learn from the experience, and come back better.

Im disappointed at you guys for not even give Vic credit because Delvalle was a big favorite to win in this fight but after Vic easily beat up Delvalle, all i read is cause delvalle show he wasnt ready?

Vic's level of awkwardness, from a top name? No, not really a regular part of boxing. Hey, the majority opinion GOAT and near complete consensus top two lock for his division, Muhammad Ali, fought Kenny Norton three times and said he could never quite figure him out, with his awkward style. No, sometimes you just can't quite get a guy down, no matter how good you are.

And, he was weak for defending against the exact same punch his entire career, even over three fights a piece with the same two fighters who capitalised on the exact same punch against him in all three fights. Sometimes awkwardness and style matches are extremely, extremely deceptive about the level of both a fighter and his opponent. There, I've done it again. I've taken yet another thing to seventies heavyweight examples. :happy It doesn't matter who it is or what weight class, I still go back to seventies heavyweights as a frame of reference.
