I think if he beats DeMarco, especially in an exciting fashion, he'll be much more marketable, and money is what makes fights. Though, he probably won't start really getting the big time fights until he fights in the states. Sanders, belt or no, wasn't very well known, so you couldn't get paid a whole lot to fight him, therefore high-risk low-reward.
Knowing Valero it will be exciting and a KO/TKO. hopefully comissions will let him fight and he can get a big fight. Love to seem him fight Soto
Soto is another guy who has been waiting fir his due. When he beat Juarez 5 years ago he never got any of the fame or fights he shoud have gotten. Soto Valero would propel the winner to where they are struggling to be.
hmm says . . . Demarco is a crap load sloppier than Valero. Valero by KO or UD. The size advantage won't do much... Valero is fast enough to apply power presure on the lengthy dude... he's gonna break demarco down. This is me not being a Valero fan or hugger but just from watching Demarco vids and styles.
The fight should be very entertaining both fighters love to mix it up. However, Valero's biggest weakness is his ego. In the past he has refused to listen to his trainers advice and thus to date has not worked on his weaknesses. DeMarco, however has improved his defense and has learned to pace himself. I would believe that DeMarco's jab will be the most crucial punch to win this match. I also think his left hook will do some damage as well.
I feel more comfortable now that I discovered that Valero is being trained by Alcazar. I think Alcazar is a great person but as a trainer he lacks understanding. He was dropped by Oscar and Robert Garcia.
Valero impressed me when he KO'ed Pitalua, but this will be his first real test. I'm looking forward to this fight and I wouldn't suprised if we have a FOTY, ROTY, and may'be even KO of the year canidates with this one fight.
