Corleys only chance is if Matthysse has a heart attack.

    Round 7

Corley is smashed into a corner and down RIGHT AWAY. He gamely rises one more time, looking determined. He rips Matthysse with a few right hooks to the face and somehow looks sharp and fresh again! Amazing! Corley feints with an overhand left and follows a backing-up Matthysse to put himself in position to land some lefts low to the body. Corley is slipping several punches and looking smooth but a single stray Matthysse left hook to the body sends his legs out from under him. Corley gets up YET AGAIN. Matthysse lets loose with monstrous lead rights up high but is still scoring most effectively with the left hook to the body. Corley puts his head down to tuck his chin and backs away from Matthysse but with his limited visibility can't keep track of where he's going and is backed into a corner and blasted. Corley skirts out to the middle of the ring and is DROPPED BY A LEFT HOOK TO THE BODY. AGAIN.

    AGAIN SAVED BY THE BELL.

    AGAIN, 10-7 Matthysse

    edit: it's actually 10-6.

    Round 8

Corley leads with a right hook and is really going to war with Matthysse, toe to toe!!! matthysse looks stronger but Corley won't go away. He shoulders his way inside and leans and bangs to the body. Matthysse just corkscrews lefts and rights up into his chest and underneath his chin. Corley goes down on a delayed reaction and argues with the ref that this time it wasn't a knockdown. The count goes on, and Corley gets up looking pissed. Corley winds up on the ropes slipping punches but a LEFT HOOK DOES HIM IN!!! NO!!!! He gets up from his knees YET AGAIN!!!!!! STRAIGHT LEFTS TO THE CHIN OF MATTHYSSE!! Corley is going for it! He just can't, though. Matthysse is too savage. ONE MORE LEFT HOOK BODY SHOT KNOCKDOWN AND THE REF SCREAMS "AWW, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and waves it off
