Freddy Hernandez outweighed him by five lbs at the weigh in and I wonder how much more weight he gained for the fight. I don't know, I am giving chop chop the benefit of the doubt. He's no world beater, but he's a good test for up and coming young fighters at 140lbs.
He's been jobbed a lot lately, but getting KTFO by Freddi Hernandez isn't a good sign. He beat a halfway decent fighter last night though. And he was up to his old tricks. This content is protected IntentionalButt - I think he was talking about the Hector Sanchez fight, in which he was robbed, which was his last televised fight before Hernandez.
Im glad that although Chop is past his best, he's been able to snap his losing streaks, and not look like a fool losing against fighters sport records of 20-26 (K McBride style). Maybe if he stays in shape and motivated who knows, maybe he can ko the right guy and get an interm strap shot thanks to the corrupt sanctioning bodies who's rankings are ******ed.
Yup. Hopefully that will fuel his momentum to at least a decent ppv undercard payday. But this is boxing, and he isn't exactly young on those terms, so I'm sure another six figure payday for a fading fighter like him is probably far fetched.
****, i had respect for him but if that's true i have MASSIVE respect for him. chop chop was a good damn fighter, gave judah hell and mayweather hell for a bit in their fights. at his best, at his ATHLETIC best, he was a solid titlist level fighter
i was there last night. Chop looked like a new man.. i was impressed and happy for one of the better personalities in boxing.
Yea, I remember him having 7 kids, then I just remember something with his brothers kids he has to take care of them. I don't know if he died but I remember thinking 14 kids is a lot to provide for.
see i was more impressed with his fight with judah. that was a prime, confident judah and corley held his own in losing a close decision
