The shitty fight with Witter must've had a profoundly negative effect on him, hence the horrible 5 fight streak which followed.
I personally know him from junior high and high school. His down fall was his focus level. To much partying and clubing.
I think so. I know Chop had a long training camp for Witter and was away from his family for most of it, and apparently gave the Witter fight his all. So the fact that he lost a relatively lopsided decision must have messed his head up/motivation up for awhile.
Sheeeeyit, this cat hasn't logged on to Youtube in MONTHS, apparently. :yep We may be waiting a while for that first five minutes of action.
Yes, he was sharp back in the day. discipline has been the biggest down fall to most D.C boxers. Keith Holmes, and William Joppy. I can remember seeing these cats chillin in clubs partying and drinking the same week they have to fight. SMH Keith Holmes goes to the same barber shop i do. I talk to him every know and then. He was one of the main people partying and chasing the women. So far Paul Williams and the Peterson Bros are representing D.C well.
DC/Baltimore seems a rough area to try and come up in with a straight head, from my limited experience there and knowing a couple of people who live there. They're right up there with New Orleans as far as how much widespread bad example is set for youth and perpetuated from one generation to the next.
I havent seen him in forever, but yeah I seen him on boxing rec and was wondering what the hell happened. I hope he is ok and all health wise.
You know the spot where Hustlers is, and a pizza joint across the street? That's the neighborhood I spent most of my time in down there. Don't get me wrong, there are hard ass blocks here in Boston...but damn. I had my Don't **** With Me Don't You Know I'm Loco face on immediately upon setting foot outside over there.
