The Maidana fight is just over 48 hours away (and will be aired on Argentinan TV but not in the US).

Everybody think happy thoughts for Chop Chop! Send good mojo his way!

I always find myself rooting for Chop Chop if hes not fighting a fighter im particularly fond of (Cotto, Judah) and while i would normally root for him this weekend, i would like to see Maidana keep the momentum he has as it makes for a much more interesting division.

Id like to see Chop Chop put in a good performence, make it interesting at time, and be able to leave the ring under his own two feet and being proud of himself. But id like to see Maidana get the W, for the divisions sake, if that makes sense.

However, i too was wondering wtf was going on, and figured Chop to be completely shot, due to his recent apparent slide as a fighter.

I guess we will see just where he is at officially when he fights Maidana. Kinda feel bad for him because seems like hes always being fed to someone, but hey, one has to look at those as chances and he gets plenty of them. After Maidana i hope he can continue to beat the C level guys, i hate seeing him lose to guys he would have probably beat a few years ago.

    Maidana 139.7, ChopChop 138.

Both fighters looked in great shape.

He wears women's underwear and takes care of like 14 kids. (half of those kids belong to his dead brother, I think) I know way too much useless Chop Chop trivia.

I saw the replay of him vs. Hernandez last night on show time......that was seriously one of the nastiest KO's ive seen in a while. Maidana is going to Massacre him.

    Don't doubt it.

But until the massacre comes I root for Chop Chop. Dunno why I'm such a chop cheerleader but as I've said before there's just something (my him takin care of 203 kids) that makes me want him to pull out one last big win.

Corley was also holding his own until the KO.

Hernandez may not be as good an all-around fighter as Maidana, but he's got big 1-punch power.

Who else is proud of our boy? He took the fight to Maidana at times, used more intelligent tactics when necessary, and overall looked better than any of us could have expected or hoped for!

Not only did he last the distance, he took some brutal body shots and kept dancing on his toes throwing right hooks right up until the 12th round. (winning a couple in the process - on another forum someone even scored the fight for him!)

If this was his swan song, it was one hell of a melody.

    Thank you, Chop Chop! :happy

If you look at Corley records, he has 14 losses but only 3 by ko. You can make a case that Cotto Tko Corley was a bs stoppage cause Corley wasn't badly Hurt. Hell Corley hurt Cotto far worse then Cotto did on him.

I remember Larry Merchant yelling that was a hometown stoppage.
