Andrade assessed several of the division’s fighters as well as his chances against them, below.

Floyd Mayweather (45-0, 26 KOs): “I would beat him by decision, if not, I may knock him out if I had to. That could be. I just feel that I’m a southpaw, and I’m long and rangy. I’m fast. I’m not no dumb fighter. I believe that I have the power to do it.”

Canelo Alvarez (42-1-1, 30 KOs): “I would stop him. I would walk his little ass down.”

Miguel Cotto (38-4, 31 KOs): “I would stop him, too. I would stop him just because he’s smaller, and I’m longger, and I would have him walking into punches all night long. I think that cuts would definitely be a factor.”

Carlos Molina (22-5-2, 6 KOs): “I would stop him. I would walk his little ass down, too. He was a 147-pounder, so he’s coming up. These guys have been trying to box him, and I’ll keep him at bay and just walk him down and use my hand speed.”

Erislandy Lara (18-1-2, 12 KOs): “I would whup his ass. But since he likes to run a lot, I think that our fight might go the distance.”

Austin Trout (26-1, 14 KOs): “Probably the same thing as Lara. I’m a southpaw, and so is he, but I’ve got a little more flash and I’m faster. I think that I would be able to fight him. I’m not sure what his jaw can take, but if I can stop him, then I’ll stop him, too. We fought back in the day, as amateurs, and I beat him then.”

James Kirkland (31-1, 27 KOs): “I would stop him, too. He’s short and he likes to just rush in and try to throw these long-assed hooks. He would be walking into punches all night long, too. I ain’t going to let him just walk in.”

Alfredo Angulo (22-3, 18 KOs): “I sparred with him to help him prepare for the Lara fight. He’s a tough guy, but later on in the rounds, I would stop him, too.”

from a ring article today http://ringtv.craveonline.com/news/343621-demetrius-andrade :deal

    Andrade on Mayweather:

"I believe that I can beat Floyd Mayweather," said Andrade, who stands 6-foot-1. "There's nobody out there who has a jab like me. There's nobody out there who is as fast as me and who is going to slip and slide and look as good against Floyd Mayweather."

"Maidana, he put up a good fight but he was just a bull and Mayweather did what he had to do to beat him. I clearly believe that I can beat Floyd Mayweather," said Andrade. "As you see, he's been picking guys like the Mexican fighters who, you know, have the fan base behind them. That's great. They draw a lot of people, so that's generally what they're looking for. But I'm willing to get in there with Floyd Mayweather."

"Floyd Mayweather hasn't fought anybody that's young and slick and who has speed and can move like him and that has good footwork and that has a good I.Q. in the ring," said Andrade. "I've got the keys and the tools and the vision and everything that I need to get it done and I'm willing to put him up to that challenge."

"Now if Mayweather wants to pick Danny Garcia, who was in with a tough little boxer like Herrera, you're talking about a situation where Mayweather is way above Herrera, so that's going to just be the same thing," said Andrade. "If Mayweather wants to retire being the best like he's saying, I think before he goes out, that he needs to fight Demetrius Andrade.":lol:

Yeah, dismantling an opponent who has zero defense and was afraid to throw punches shows that he can beat cream dela cream of 154. Also he mentions his height as if he is Tommy Hearns. I'd say have him fight Trout and if Andrade beats him convincingly his statements may hold water.

He would woop Cotto worse than Trout did.

Floyd would need to fight more aggressively to win a decision. Andrande can keep it long. He has the advantages.

We'll see how Canelo does against Lara.

KO Floyd and Canelo, or win by stoppage?
Andrade couldn't KO Brian Rose(who has been KO'd before)

He probably can when everything falls into place.
Only the odds of getting all those fights and actually doing it are about 1 in a million.

I highly doubt he will get a big fight anytime soon. I think his best hope is to get Kirkland.
