He is a corny and clumsy goofball with moderate skill that has tried securing big money fights with his mouth (and done a really poor job at even that) , yet fights complete nobodies and only fights once a year. Now at basically 36 he is going to fight a prime Benevidez? Maybe with his goofy style he will be able to take rounds off Benevidez, I dunno but it seems more likely he takes punishment. This likely won't even be that big of a payday compared to what he could have made if he was active in his prime. I'll be honest though I won't miss him if Benevidez retires him. He is a Keith Thurman in how he acts and views himself. Translation: delusional. I don't think anything is more pathetic than Keith pretending to beg for that Crawford smoke though. Not even Boo boo can top that.
Boo Boo is capable of producing some just "crazy good" rounds. But there's something going on upstairs that prevents him from keeping his foot on the gas. I just don't think Andrade is happy in his chosen profession. I don't think the comparison with Thurman is 100% warranted. Absolutely nobody of consequence at 147 lbs rates Thurman a threat. Andrade, otoh, is a threat to outbox you - and hand you a loss in a boring-ass fight that fans will groan over for the next several years. Benavidez deserves a bit of criticism, too. He's fixated on getting a big money fight with a sliding Canelo. But he's clearly ducking Morrell. I don't think there are any serious boxing fans who wouldn't rather see him fight Morrell.
