Demetrius Andrade pulls out of Zach Parker fight

Maybe currently he has another job that pays him well and he doesn't need the low salary which he will get from getting punched in the face by Parker. We don't know.

 

If thats the case he should retire. no need to get smashed in the face anymore, if hes earning that much.

 

I thought he was doing this fight to become the WBO mandatory or whatnot. Kind of dumb to turn down a fight that could lead to your retirement check against Canelo.

 

If it's that easy a night for Andrade, he should take the fight and get paid (you said it yourself). Has he got anything better to do?

 

Andrade is probably going to get starched in a few years after his prime has left him by some guy he would would of handled relatively easily in his youth. Waiting for the lottery payday to come to him instead of forcing his way to that mountain of money while the years tick tick tick on by.

 

He should but who am I, im not part of his management team, if i was id be telling him to get his ass to work and get that money.

 

So, if he doesn't have anything better to do, doesn't this pull-out suggest that he considers Parker a significant risk and wants to be paid more for the job?

Maybe he's got something big lined up to be unveiled shortly, but it'd be a first.

Horrible fighter

 

Well, yeah. I think he finds the money incommensurate with the risk. Parker may strike you as a basic fighter (and, I grant you, he's nothing too special in the bigger picture), but it appears that Andrade sees enough threat in him to decide against taking what's on offer. That interim strap certainly couldn't hurt his chances of landing a Canelo bout, besides.

 

I think maybe he liked those bloated (for his worth) paychecks he received recently.

 

This was his only realistic chance to fight Canelo. Surely he turned it down because the $$ isn't what he thinks he deserves. It's a shame, it would be a good fight.

 

Man these guys gotta stop approaching their careers like investment bankers. Very rare to see anyone willing to take a risk these days.

 

Its an american phenomenon.

I mean there was some can crushers on the European circuit in the 90's but even they took more risks than the current american 'business men'
