I feel like Andrade has ulterior motives for picking Akavov.

Giving himself an ego boost when he beats him easier than Saunders did.

Crappy fight, but the good thing is Andrade is going to be active. After this im sure he will get BJS fight. It was a smart move to sign with Hearn, he may not make super fights but you could at least fight 3 times a year, unlike Pbc.

Andrade is finally starting to make some good money. Andrade received $800,000 for his last fight with the African guy. He will probably receive about the same for a defence. When he fights BJS im sure he will get close to 2 million.

If he doesn't perform better than BJS 1.0 then how will he have a prayer against BJS 2.0?

WBO quite often started to choose weak russians(not the top from that country) for their champions.Chuprakov for Ito, Akavov for Andrade, and Roman Andreev for Lomachenko. When i looked at ratings in all their divisions, the best russians are missing, but these who are not top from their country, who can be humiliated from top boxers in front of millons fans on TV, are there. Also boxers from countries around Russia, now enemy of them and searching for boosting their national confidence and identity, for their national heroes, are also in WBO ratings, but if they're(from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and others) with pro-russian thinking(speaking, writting in instagram) or with russian promoters(maybe the same good opinion for Russia), they're not in top of WBO ratings.Strange rating system from WBO.I hope there is no politics in all that...
