Whats funny is he is in a similar position as Ward was against Kessler not calling Andrade Ward and Martirosyan Kessler by any means
Agreed with the OP. Andrade is vastly overrated. I do actually hope he wins though because I think Brian Rose has a much better chance of beating HIM than he does beating Vanes and I wanna see Rose win a world title
You are always the first one to bring up race. You and your alt BlizzyBlizz need to be banned. I think Andrade will win but it could go either way.
This is a HUGE step up in class for Andrade. Maybe a bit too much. Martirosyan has not yet beaten a manof Andrades class and reputation, but he has drawn with a better fighter in Lara, who may just be the guy to finally beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. BUT.......Martirosyan does have a beatable style. He does a very good job measuring distance, but he does not change the speed or power on hsit shots well. He does nothing in the way of setting traps, and he does not invest in the body enough to be an elite at 154. I think he will be the bigger man, and the more aggressive man in this fight. Andrade can win this fight if he has the maturity to maintain a fight plan without running. IF......IF.......Andrade wins this fight, it will be a potshotting fight in which Vanes is the obvious aggressor, landing the harder shots, and being more effective offensively, but somehow, Andrades pitterpattering 1-2 and out shots are scored b/c he can't miss with them. Andrade will run and not be caught, and the crowd will boo b/c Vanes is trying to make a fight, but doesnt have the footwork or ability to lure Andrade in by mixing up his punches. :think
I don't have a horse in this race either way and neither fighter really jumps out to me. I'm more excited about it than that apathetic tone might imply, though. Should be an interesting fight.
You think Vanes will be the aggressor He'll be aggressively looking for a spot on the canvas to rest his weary head. Ya'll talk about Andrade like he wears a dress. Demetrius has everything but a flashy resume:deal....That's ALL he lacks.... He sure as hell doesn't lack for size speed and power. He doesn't lack for defense or lateral movement. A lot of times it takes a young lanky fighter a while to mature and get set on his legs. His handlers moved him along PERFECTLY because they realized he wasn't fully matured. He is now..:deal Andrade is going to take over...just watch...
You don't know shi.t about boxing...why should you. The only thing Rose will get from Andrade is an as.s-whipping.
If Andrade looks to trade in this fight, he'll be starched. PERIOD. The only way he stops Martirosyan is the way Malinaggi stopped Senchenko. It's a very plausible scenario b/c Vanes doesnt mix up his punches well, and has a tendency to be predictable. A fault that a seasoned fighter like Andrade will pick up very early on a fight. And if DA is smart, he will rightly avoid trading and look to potshot before exiting the inside. Darting in with 1-2s, then coming out with short tight hooks before getting on his bike and doing it all over again for 12 rds.
Andrade win is critical because: #1 It reduces Lara #2 Bob Arum/HBO lose Vanes #3 Andrade has a belt for Mayweather #4 Unification with Molina winner has 2 belts for Mayweather
Andrade is with Banner promotions which is tied with HBO, whether he wins or not, it's unlikely he'll fight a golden boy fighter.
