Credit where it's due, he nailed that one.

I also take notice when a fighter elevates their game against their best opposition, and that's what happened tonight. He gave Sulecki his worst defeat and won more clearly than he has against lesser fighters. We can nitpick certain aspects of how he did it, but Andrade's performance surpassed my expectations. Can't judge a fighter's ceiling by his floor.

They'll be eager to get in the ring with him after this debacle, avoid his power shots for the first four rounds, then his power subsides, bring the pressure in the middle rounds, cut off the ring, pound the body, open up the head, KO him cold in the 7-9. It's actually going to be a walk in the park for either of them.

I agree, I was expecting a much more competitive fight and Sulecki was never in it.

    I had an epiphany....

Andrade was going to pull the same **** he did with Kautondokwa, and switched.... and he did just that.:ohno

The only way Sulecki could have a chance, is for Andrade to man up and fight him, and that wasn't ever going to happen.

Outboxed? look at the punches Andrade was throwing. He was trying to make a statement by getting the KO and looked sloppy doing so. His punches started in one zip code and ended in another. He can't leave himself wide open like that against a GGG or Canelo or the re ref will have to call timeout so that Andrade's corner can attempt to locate the mouth guard lodged in his throat. Very sloppy performance because he was trying to hard and the commentators were the worst I have ever heard, ever. Not a good showcase IMO.

    Here's the quick rundown:
Shite offense from Sulecki, but OK defense. Quite good defense and meh offense from Andrade overall.

I had it a shutout. You won't miss much. Sulecki was uncharacteristically conservative, probably from the early knockdown

Parker did fine. Me made Leapai miss consistently, threw some heavy leather earlier and when it was obvious it wasn't going to be a one punch KO and that Leapai was going to keep throwing big wild shots Kevin Barry told him to ease up and just take the rounds and just use openings.

This was literally doing what AJ should have done against Ruiz and they said beforehand they weren't going to make mistakes which could stuff up progress. It wasn't the most exciting but they did test the water for a KO then opted to clinically wear him down.

Leapai fought more cagily than I suspect they were counting on, and a big KO probably would have been more likely if he came with the kitchen sink but that didn't happen. I think it was a pretty mature performance - the people who criticise Parker for not throwing enough shouldn't have much to stay and the people who criticise him for things like the million punch combo without thought or accuracy shouldn't either.

Not a perfect fight but defense was solid, pace was sensible, no sign of trouble or gassing, got the stoppage of course (Leapai looked concussed despite never going down) and generally looked very unstressed aside from clearly looking like he would have liked a KO.

Looked like an easy night as it should have

I would have been satisfied with him targeting the body more than he did. He really bothered Sulecki with those body shots, He did what he needed to do to win and dominate...But yeah, he could have done more and done it in even more dominant fashion.

    I disagree, Lith

Some good flurries in the mid rounds could easily have got the ref to stop it

But yes - Parker was clinical and dominant

Sulecki got dropped twice against Rosado not that long ago. Tonight proves that wasn't a one off. I think Sulecki is done.

Either that or Andrade runs all night and makes it a lose - lose S*** boring snore fest. Nothing about Andrade seems genuine. He stole a Rougarou mask that Prograis threw in the bin and came off looking lame. I will only watch him again if he fights Canelo, GGG or anyone else who will put him down. I think he's a phony. He needs a reality check.

80% of Poo Poo's punches missed or were blocked. Sulecki did noyhing.

Andrade will never come close to beating the top tier at 160.

I think BJS would kick his ass all over the ring.

This probably should be a criticism of Kevin Barry rather than Parker then, Barry basically dissuaded him from doing this in the mid/early rounds

    Yep.

But one reason for caution could be - they know they are up for big paydays directly ahead
