brutal. demetrius is always having some **** happen to him, not that i'm a big fan ofthe guy or think he'll ever be a champ but still shitty luck seems to follow him around....proly his own fault 99 percent of the time though
I would have let him fight first before dropping the ball. He does not need this **** ****ing with his concentration. Let him make a living at least.
What the flying **** is going through the minds of the Vegas police? Why do you ****ing arrest Hopkins B E F O R E the fight? If you want the kids to get the money they need why take away Dad's paycheck and make him pay without a paycheck. And it isn't like you couldn't have arrested him as he walked out of the ring after his fight. You knew where the **** he was gonna be. Say what you want about Demetrius. He shows up for his fights. ****ing clueless civil servants perpetuating there ****ing business. More tax dollars making sure those kids are alright.
Why not wait until AFTER the fight so at least his child's mother can benefit by garnishing the purse for the actual service he will provide the public by doing his job in the ring? That's the part that doesn't make any sense. Now he goes to jail and the kids don't get any child support from the fight purse. Unbelievable.
Welcome to ****ing A M E R I C A. Someday we ain't gonna have the money to even make the shell game look good.
Dude, just judge by the facts. a) The man was going to fight, 6K of the purse was going towards his child support debt. b) Nonetheless they arrested him, before the fight... this can jeopardize his performance in the fight and subsequent purses. If there was some sort of logic, they should have waited till AFTER the fight. In these cases, pressure is stepped up if the other parent is requesting it; The system is broken. The motivations on the other side is unknown (DHop may deserve it)
Most likely they had a typo "back child support" - back child support payments are missed payments. like "back taxes"
Your first problem is that you're applying "logic" to something entirely illogical. The moment you learn that logic isn't a necessary part of court cases or court hearings will be when you can see things from reality. The system is broken but we can't assume this is a "gold digging *****" as he put it. The guy owes 16 grand in support, she probably wanted her money. Whether she wanted it for her kid or to buy a new pair of shoes for herself is entirely unknown. Hopkins' owes money so that doesn't exactly shine brightly on him either. Unless I'm mistaken Hopkins got kicked out by his uncle because he wasn't paying rent either. We know nothing about the personal life of either of the individuals so to assume that she's some sort of gold digging ***** is a REAL ****ing stretch. I've met a lot of people who sit on both sides of the playing field and it's not always black and white like this dude made it out to be.
