    you know, its all relative.

if an supposedly elite fighter refuses to fight others of his ability, isnt that cowardice?

because when you think about it, the ordinary amatuer, or average pro, fights opposition that is deemed equal. the am or pro sucks it up and has a go, win lose or draw.

when i fought as an am, i didnt know who i was going to fight, and i NEVER fought anyone with less fights than myself, and nearly all of them had better records.

yet i sit here and critisize those elite fighters for not fighting fighters of equal talent, and i get called a grub.

just because i had less talent, i still had to man up and fight an equal opponent. why shouldnt blokes like demori or welliver be encouraged to fight blokes of equal ability?

I sincerely hope it's bottomed out here.

With the Saul Farah farce falling through it's back to scrounging through the mediocrity of the division in search of another easybeat opponent for de Mori.

Will be interesting to see how lenient NSW Combat Sports are if an equally pathetic mismatch is offered up.

I have not paid a great deal of attention to Mark and his boxing opponents, not much support in here for him :pop

Out of Sauls last 5 opponents only one had ever won a fight and that single win took 7 fights to achieve.
Notice also Buster is no longer defending MDM but quite the contrary .
Sally must have made him see the light.

It's a shot in the arm for Aussie boxing the de Mori v Farah farce isn't going ahead :good

Surely they wouldn't have the hide to set the bar that low again with his replacement. Hardly possible really.

Thought they couldn't possibly set the bar any lower than Saul Farah. Wrong! My mistake :patsch

39 year old Troy Weida 46 wins, 23 losses and 2 draws. Has been stopped in 5 of his past 8 bouts. Boxrec #375 :yikes

The usual tailor made de Mori mismatch.

You know with my strong sense of patriotism I'd still support de mori if he stepped up...even though he carries on with that sexy boxing crap. Doesnt look like it will happen anytime soon. Give me a reason to put my support behind you mark. Others would too. Ps. Dropping the pink feather boa would help your cause too. Dont try to be something you're not just to get attention!

Was he ok for Leapai? Think it's actually a step up from Farah isn't it?

Great effort by Team MDM to get a quality opponent on a miniscule budget and short time frame.

    Get you purple on Sydney.

    No surprises here.
39 yr old Weida's record in the last 7yrs. 2-2-0 including a brutal 1st rd KO by Leapai.
It'll be the third tier vulture dining on Leapai's scraps. :-(

You have to feel sorry for the gullible public paying to see this stuff.

    "Okay for Leapai?"
The referee was forced to stop Leapai killing Troy Weida inside 2 minutes of the first round :patsch

    "Quality opponent."
Boxrec have Weida at #375. I didn't realize boxrec counted that low in their assessment of 'quality' :patsch

The fact Weida had been stopped in 5 of his past 8 bouts made him an absolute monty choice for team de Mori.
