From the reports of Chauncy it is huge crowds and the bigger the crowd the better at this stage. It would also be another country to tick of list that boxing has let Mark see and in my limited experience, Asian countries love the 'super hero' looking fighters as much as the 'novelty' fighters. In my opinion only, Chauncy would be great next step for Mark and I would love to see it. Chauncy would be a tough fight for anyone. Anyone who doubts that I think is kidding themselves. They are in for a long night and probably a pretty messy fight that will hard to look good in. Not really something that would make a boxer go 'great, I can't wait'.
................didn't expect we'd get a response out of you. "Great show" atsch Don't quit your day job Totalpac. Boxing promotion is definitely not your go
I thought we were playing the ignoring each game, like how you ignored me in my question regarding you examining other Aussie HW's 21st and 22nd opponents with as much interest with Marks. Like Messer said, in more than a few words, if Mark can get past Weida, he finally has a solid base to work off, which he hadn't had for a long time. The purple boas and stars are starting to align.
You and the truth appear to be distant strangers >>> and you went on to ignore my question which was basically an opportunity to talk up Friday's 'great show'. atsch
'Great show' in your opinion of course Everybody else knowing full well it's nothing more than a mismatched main event heading a very poor under-card. But hey, the opportunity remains for you to try and justify calling it a 'great show'. Let's see if you can polish a turd. All ears.........
A great show comes down to being entertained. As in Mark's last, according to most, his opponent was blah and the undercard didn't look much, yet everyone seemed to walk away very happy to have spent their money on that night out. If you haven't been to one of Mark's cards, it is a completely different vibe to other boxing shows. Now it may not be for some of the close-minded 'purists' but the crowd that Mark brings are fans of entertainment, not necessarily boxing. You find a lot of people that have never been to a boxing show before, but go along 'for the night out' cause they know it's going to be fun with a similar minded crowd. Yes, if you only care about seeing a fight that will go down in history, well these keep busy fights probably aren't for you, but if you want to go and have a fun night and enjoy yourself, you won't be disappointed. Until you have been to one it's pretty much talking about something you have no idea about, which I know you hate, so? Your turn?
so in your opinion, keeping in mind you are marks :smh.......you see mark as a super hero with novelty fighter value....:-( so does that mean we will see mark with a cape on, his undies on the OUTSIDE, and a purple boa round his neck? this is what alex would do to mark after he ko's him....:**** lheres a preview of welleater vs demoron......:gayfight
It still hasn't dawned on you that this is a boxing forum where purists post then atsch The demographic here is people who want to see well matched contests. Not mismatches that the theatre-going set might turn a blind eye to if the music is loud enough and one of the combatants dresses in drag. There's only one word that describes the type of mismatches Mark de Mori has built a career around....SAD, and no doubt you've seen enough people post that enough times to think there might just be a semblance of truth in it. A prime example of Mark's appetite for a mismatch was his most recent 'contest' with the 42 year old and shot as they come, Rob Calloway >>> [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86staIAiatw[/ame] Just sad.....
Weida lost his last fight a 4 rounder. Losing every round to a boxer who has had 19 losses. What would beating Weida prove? :nut
Alright, I'm on holidays and am injured and have time, so my dear Spider. As I hope everyone knows by now, I love what Alex has done and is doing and this is nothing against him at all. It's called building a career and it ended up getting him a shot at Kingpin. All power to him and I hope his injury heals and he can get another shot. But Spider, I'm still not sure if you are against Mark or his opponents. Mark after 2.5 years off, for fights 20, 21 and 22 in his career has fought Alexander, Calloway and Weida. Will wait on his 23rd opponent. At the same stage of their fight career Alex's (fighting regularly) 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd were Talemaira (for the 3rd time), Wilson, Takehara and Te Rangi (for the 2nd time). Am sure neither Alex or Mark would pick any of these as the fights of their dreams and you take fights for a whole host of reason (budget, availabity etc etc) Are Mark's opponents really such a disgrace when compared with Alex's at the same stage in their careers?
Not sure why you are choosing to compare Mark de Mori with Alex Leapai here? You seem to be pointing at some of the lesser opponents Leapai has fought and then attempted to justify Mark's career against that. Fact is Mark started his career about 6 months prior to Alex and has never fought the quality of fighters Alex has. Where are the Travis Walkers, Owen Becks, Darnell Wilsons, Peter Okellos and Kevin 'Kingpin' Johnsons on Mark's record? Plus Alex has cleaned up the best of the Aussie talent that Mark so carefully avoids. No instead Mark's record consists of 8 x debutantes and a list of never weres and hasbeens >>> http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=237842&cat=boxer
alex has never fought a fighter on debut.... mark has fought six. yes 6. in his 3rd last fight he fought a bloke that had 2 yes two fights. recently alex has fought. Kevin Johnson Troy Weida Evgeny Orlov Okello Peter Jason Barnett Darnell Wilson Owen Beck Travis Walker demori wouldnt have the guts to fight any of them. youcant compare alex and demoron. one is a fighter. the other is a pretender.
How can I compare Mark to Alex's fights from 23rd to 32nd fight if he's only just having his 22nd? Alex fought Weida in his 31st and Mark is doing it in his 22nd. Obviously this is pointless again. Just trying to point out, compare who has fought who at the same stages of their career. I think they match up pretty much the same. If Mark is still fighting 'journey men' like Calloway and Weida in another 10 fights time I will think you have a point. Sometimes I forget common sense is lost here. It is interesting though.
One correction to my post above >>> Mark de Mori has fought 8 x fighters who have never won a fight, including 6 debutantes. (not 8 debutantes)
