Thoughts please. Imo,Ali would score decisions over Dempsey and Louis, and stop Marciano on cuts. Louis would stop Dempsey and Marciano, probably taking a count himself in both fights. Marciano would ko Dempsey in a bout similar to Foreman-Lyle.

This Marciano getting stopped on cuts is getting so exagerated.

Ali UD15 Marciano - hard fought close fight where Ali has to dig deep. something like 8-7 or 9-6.
Ali UD15 Louis - pretty clear UD, Ali´s footspeed makes the difference. something like 10-5 or even 11-4.
Dempsey TKO12 Ali - Dempsey´s combination of style, foot- and handspeed and power would trouble Ali. Dempsey dominating the start, Ali taking over but Dempsey ends it while beeing behind on the cards.

Louis UD15 Marciano - fierce battle but Louis combinations get to Marciano, both will get floored. Louis offense skilled are just too good for Marciano but you can´t count out Marciano´s SuzieQ ends the fight. Close but clear 9-6.
Louis KO3 Dempsey - Dempsey starts strong flooring Louis and nearly puts him out but in the third round Louis comes back and knocks Dempsey out. Hagler-Hearns kind of fight.

Marciano KO8 Dempsey - Dempsey starting fast like always beating Marciano to the punch but can´t get him out. Marciano´s taking over around round 5 dominating the fight, Dempsey fights back bravely but has to surrender to Marciano´s constant pressure in the 8th.

So, the raanking would look like this:
    1. Ali 2-1 but a win over Louis
    2. Louis 2-1
    3. Marciano 1-2 but a win over Dempsey
    4. Dempsey 1-2

I respect your views, but can't see Dempsey or anybody else stopping a prime Ali.

Ali would beat them all pretty emphatically

I dont see Dempsey taking Ali out in 12 rounds, Dempsey rarely carry his power late.

You were home free for the most part if you got out of the first 5 or 6 rounds vs Dempsey.

But that's a tall order against a prime Dempsey! Lasting six rounds. In his prime, He was relentless!

Perhaps, but I just saying I dont see Dempsey tko 12 Ali is all.

The first 5 or 6 rounds may be hell for Ali, but once he gets past that, and in fairly good shape, I think Ali takes over, and either wins on points, or stops Dempsey around the 14th round.

What is it with Dempsey messing with people's sound intellect? The rest of what you say sound pretty good, but Dempsey winning over Ali and by a TKO no less? That is plain stupid. Nothing else to say about it.

I give Dempsey no chance. Terribly overrated. Look at the right leads effing Carpentier tags Dempsey with and envision the Ali that KO'd Folley in there with him instead. How can anyone possibly not think Dempsey is way out of his depth here?

Everyone knows of my admiration for Louis, but Ali beats them all. Dempsey loses to them all, by knockout. Best fight is Louis vs Dempsey :good

A lot would depend upon the draw.

The strongest man in the tournament is not necisarily going to emerge the winner.

True. Marciano will at best be a Pyrrhic victory for the one who draw him as nr. 1.

For me, Rocky beats Dempsey in a very hard battle, is more or less 50-50 against Louis and loses a tough fight against Ali. But Ali doesn't beat Louis after facing Marciano shortly before. Even Dempsey would start to look a good bet.
