Yes, he was a very good boxer. I can't take that away from him.

Pollack states that Choynsky and Johnson were about the same weight when they fought!
Johnsons defences were against the heaviest challengers up until Joe Louis' reign you dumb ****! - Mcloser

    Time for your weekly edification.

1 ) Pollack does not know the weights of Choynski vs Johnson. Choynski knocked Johnson cold. Johnson had 24+ documented fights under his belt and fought near his home town. Choynski at this point was past his best.

2 ) Regarding the weights of Johson's title opponents, which decent guy above 200 pounds in a title match did he beat? How about NONE. Not Willard who KO'd him or Jim Battling Smith whom he drew with under dubious circumstance where not one of the judges gave the match to Jack Johnson but one did to Ballting Jim. So Johnson's ability to beat decent 200+ men in their prime was never proven. Do not waste your time saying Kaufman was decent. He was Ko'd before and many times after ( 6 times ) retiring at age 28.

3 ) It is well documented that super middle weight types well past the Choynski fight gave a prime jack Johnson trouble in O'Brien who out boxed him according to some and Ketchel who floored him! You continue to be a pinata on this point.

4 ) Beating a 5'7" 168-pound Tommy Burns is likely Johnson's best win, and you even admit that. IMO its Johnson's best-filmed fight as he was likely and active, and Johnson's best weight might be under 200 pounds...at least they're here his best wins were.

Now Sign here and admit the above and I stop making you look like the biased, wron,g and angry man you are.

    Edification!!!lol
    1. "It is fair to estimate that both Choynski and Johnson weighed about 170lbs for this fight as both weighed around that for fights before and after." Adam Pollack," Jack Johnson The Rise ".
    2.Frank Moran,JimJeffries,JimJohnson.
Which decent guy did Jeffries defend against who weighed over 200lbs?lol
3.No super middles beat a prime Johnson, the 2 he faced were both kod!
4.Johnsons best wins would include koing a 205lbs Sam McVey & dropping Jeannette multiple times in fights.

    Ballting JimSmith? Who He?lol

You couldn't win a debate with a mute parrot you dumb tw*t!lol
Nothing angry about me I'm enjoying showing you up as the bigoted, racist a*se hole you are!
PS Got that list of boxing experts who rate Corbett and Tunney above Johnson?
