Dempsey is today's Ali.

Apparently the world needs a new book about Ali every year, actually better make that 2 new books a year.

Knowledge of Dempsey exists solely amongst boxing aficionados

I've nothing against Ali but there were 22 HW champs before him, maybe one of them warrants a book written about them? Ezzard Charles, Jack Sharkey, Jess Willard, Floyd Patterson and Jersey Joe Walcott maybe? what is there left to say about Ali?

 

Ali was so big, he kinda of ingulp all of the past champs.
Ali gets more books writting on him in 1 year, than Marciano, Dempsey and Louis get in 5 years.

Forget that espn shows nothing but Ali this and Ali that. His classic fights with Wepner, Dunn, and Fraizer III are always shown lol.
The media DID seem to forget there was boxing before Ali.

 

There is always something new. Someone should write about how he currently craps his pants, and drools all over himself.
