Prime Jack Dempsey vs Prime Jim Jeffries

What advise would you give to Dempsey if you could speak to him three months before the bout?

    Ditto, Jeffries?

To Dempsey - Don't let yourself get hugged. Go for broke and try to knock his ass out early, but don't waste energy trying to wrestle with a guy who's got close to forty pounds on you. You're more explosive and a harder puncher than he is, but that'll change quickly if you play his clinch game for too long.

To Jeffries - Hug the **** out of him. The more you wrestle with Jack, the weaker he gets, and the longer this fight goes the easier it'll be for you to manhandle your way to a UD/late stoppage.

Basically, Jack wants a short fight and Jim wants a long fight.

    I don't have much time . . .

but, anyways, I agree, radianttwillight, the fight may depend on strength and whether Jeffries is able to keep Dempsey from going on a roll.

I'd advise Jim to sneak an elbow in there Ezzard style.
