The version of Jack Dempsey that lit up the Nonpareil Sky vs the Tokyo Douglas that sent shockwaves across the globe. Two peak versions. Obviously Dempsey goes down as the greater fighter, but Douglas, particularly on this night, had the attributes to negate Dempsey's strengths; which were Tysonesque. I think this could be closer than what many of the old heads in here will think. Discuss.
Welcome back to classic forum You already made the nonpareil joke btw https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/how-would-marvin-hagler-have-fared-in-the-70s-80s.619537/
Even is we assume the Nonpareil to have been the greatest middleweight of all time, Tokyo Douglas is going to be a bit of an ask!
Seriously? Douglas's best win was against a guy physically and mentally unprepared. To busy ****ing hookers and still went life and death with him. Why is he being compared to Dempsey?
