Simple choice, who fares better against big George?

Dempsey fares singificantly better. Marciano is probably the better fighter but Dempsey has a good style to fight Foreman; his offense and pressure wasn't reckless, he was shifty, used his legs, picked his shots and was lightning quick. Foremans chops him down eventually, but it would be competitive and Jack might win a few.

Marciano would get obliterated though. Too face first to accomplish anything against Foreman. He has a pretty underrated defense in the pocket but still very hittable and he just can't trade with George.

dempsey, no question about, his much faster footwork would be the key factor and he would survive longer, still foreman would catch him, marciano would get smashed like an insect

Marciano wasn't proven against any big guys so he definitely doesn't beat the number 3 greatest heavyweight of all time. Dempsey was very quick and had the power of someone of Foreman's size.

I'm not, Marciano would be a sitting duck for George.

Regardless of who was the greater fighter, Dempsey would have had a much better chance in this one.

Dempsey would have a better chance here, though Marciano beats Dempsey h2h imo

Dempsey has the superior foot speed and agility and enough reach 77" to land his own, in addition to some defense. Marciano has to get on the train tracks to engage Foreman.

Dempsey is better equipped to win, however if this gets into the later rounds, I'd flip flop and say Marciano has the better chance to win.

I think Foreman's chin is a little overrated, to be honest. Ali KO'd him, and Lyle nearly KO'd him. Jimmy Young floored Foreman and might have stopped him had the fight been 3 more rounds.

Marciano and Dempsey hit harder than all three.

    The dumbest logic ever.
So ali did hit harder than frazier and norton, cooper did hit harder than foreman, frazier did hit harder than shavers, shavers landed clean in the chin of zombie ali 77 and could not drop him, also ali stopped foreman and he could not stop shavers so shavers had better chin than foreman.
Dude you are nothing but a ****er

Lyle had good power but he never knocked anybody out other than Shavers and almost Foreman. Marciano and Dempsey were brutal punchers...whole different class.

If I had to rank them in terms of raw power, it would look like this:

    1. Lyle
    2. Marciano
    3. Dempsey

Now if you asked me to rank them as finishers:

    1. Dempsey
    2. Marciano
    3. Lyle
