Dempsey has to get past Wald's jab, which cooing from the 6'6" 250 Lbs Wald is going to be like a cross coming from the avarage Dempsey oppoent. If not harder. Wald isn't Willard. Dempsey won't be able to bum rush him like he did Willard.

Tougher era? No. Better skills and quicker--skill is debatable, so is who was quicker. I think Dempsey was faster. Of course Klit is bigger, but so what? Dempsey destroyed some big fighters who were skilled.

Dempsey was one of greatest, maybe the greatest, at closing gap in distance between him and opponent. He was on some so fast they had no chance to react. It's one of his strongest points that gets overlooked.

Wlad doesn't have a problem fighting men of color. Wlad hasn't sat on the title for years at a time. It takes a superheavy weight to KD Wlad, not a blown up light heavy. All factors to consider.

Wlad's jab gets to it's target quicker than Dempsey's fastest his punch I'd say. Young Wlad has very quick hand speed, for a man so big his left hook is exceptionally quick and powerful.

Wlad's combinations are much more textbook and leaves him far more balanced than Dempsey's combinations which leave him off balance and exposed to his opponents counters.

The big guys Dempsey fought aren't in Wlad's ability bracket, nowhere near

Balance? If he's getting bull rushed he can't set up anything. He almost fell over when he fought a moving target in Haye. Jab-Right hand , Jab-Left hook is not balance? Being able to miss then still in the position to hit them or counter is balance. Dempsey has too much energy for Wladimir to keep up.

You have to wonder how hard Dempsey hit Willard seeing as he was able to withstand a beating from Johnson.

There is a half way decent argument that Dempsey would beat wlad, but I dont think there are any arguments about who is greater.

Wlad has achieved more and has a better resume. I also believe he beats jack who is much to wild to beat wlad imo.

Jack declared he would never face his biggest challenger, a man who called him out for the entire length of his championship. He also refused to fight the man who beat pretty much everyone he beat (and before him) again this is a man who called him out for the entire length of his championship.

The only time wlad has refused to fight someone is a brother who ranks himself behind wlad anyways.
