I've seen the Valento cip and i've seen highlights of the Charles fight. Louis looks ok to me, i'm no expert, obviously, but i'd expect him to beat Sultan Ibragimov, for example.

wait so u watched louis vs charles but not louis vs marciano? sounds a bit hypocritcal to me since both beat louis and both fought louis at the same juncture of louis career yet u refuse to watch marciano-louis?

personally i feel the joe louis fight showed marciano at his ABSOLUTE peak, more so than the walcott I fight, so by not watching it ur not getting a proper evaluation of rocky marciano, and his ability to fight a good big man. marcianos speed movement never looked so sharp as it did in the louis fight.

No, there is nothing hypocritical about it, i'm not doing it to sabotage Marciano, I just haven't watched it because it doesn't appeal. The difference, if you're interested, is that Charles beat him, but Rocky hurt him and stopped him.

Tyson was bigger, stronger, hit harder, and had faster hands than Dempsey. Dempsey had faster feet but that's the only physical edge he has.

I disagree. He was taller, for one thing, this is a physical advantage. He had a better reach, that is certainly a physical advantage.

Also, I never saw Tyson use lateral movement in his quest to find the right spot in the way that Demspey did. Demspey moved very very quickly through the angles available to him for attack and this is pure agility, not just about faster feet.

Dempsey Could Have Beaten Wills, imo And The Only Guy Above I See Dempsey Likely Losing A Dec. To Is Ali If The Ref Could Keep Jack Back But If He Caught Ali ,ali Would Wish It Was Frazier Hitting Him The Others Its Debatable But If Jack Loses To Them Its By Tko Or Dec. He Imo Was Never Ko In Prob. Almost 150-200 Recorded And Unrecorded Fights 1 500 Dollar Dive When Hes Starving Doesnt Prove ****

Prime Frazier from 1967 - FOTC was not a slow, weak-chinned, non-punching fighter. Nobody in heavyweight history punched off the angles or displayed the type of head movement or punched with the same pace that Frazier showed when he was champion. Dempsey's pace is nowhere near as fast as prime Frazier and he fought more out of a low crouch without much slipping, weaving or bobbing. Dempsey's forte was circling and movement with moderate pressure to set up his counters and catch opponents in the corner.

I don't doubt that Dempsey would have been a tough challenge for any heavyweight in history. Still, he never faced anyone with the speed or skills of Ali, the pressure and pace of Joe Frazier or the punching power of Foreman or Shavers. Prime Ali would outbox him over 15 rounds and Frazier would probably be among the first to stop him late or take a unanimous decision.

Why didn't Dempsey destroy an over-the-hill Jack Johnson who was well in his late 30's, and had challenged him to a match? No Wills either. Don't be rediculous CM.
