So Dempsey is very durable, yet marciano's durability is overrated? I have seen Dempsey's knees buckle numerous times on Film. I haven't of Marciano.

 

Things were a little different when Roy was a bit more motivated and a bit less cautious.

Montel's whole attitude changed in the first minute of the rematch.

As to the thread question, I believe those who give Roy no chance here are underestimating what Roy could bring when he put his mind to it.

I would favour Dempsey by KO, but if it went 12, I think Roy could well take it. And by a clear margin.

 

Talking seriously, I think it'd go somewhat like second Miske bout, but with Jones having a lot more success at meeting Dempsey with both hands as he rushes in, and allowing Dempsey to do less body work in the clinches than Miske did.
