    Dempsey would win. I can't think of any advantage Marciano has. Literally not one.

    This fight has savagery written all over it; it’s a little too gruesome to contemplate so soon after dinner. I’m not a Classic expert like some on here but off the top of my head I’ll give the Rock a very slight advantage

    I think the fight could go either way. Dempsey would start very fast and will be ripping Marciano with punches harder than he ever took. IF he gets through this onslaught there is his opportunity to win.

    I unfortunately don't see Marciano surviving the onslaught and even if he does Dempsey is better than him in every way imo.

    I personally would be rooting for Marciano but I just can't envision any other scenario than him bleeding out.

    It would be interesting if Rocky could take Dempsey’s punches. He would be cut to ribbons early at the very least.

    Marciano has a good shot to beat Dempsey. Jack is right there to be hit as well. Rocky could hurt him at any point.
    It's a toss up IMO. Dempsey a shade quicker. Power equal. Conditioning Marciano takes it.

    True but he will be hit this time by an elite all time puncher. I would envision terrible damage done to Rocky’s face especially by Dempsey’s left hook which was a slashing/cutting blow.

    Dempsey was much quicker than Marciano as per those who saw them both in action.

    I take Dempsey here, quicker of foot, faster of hand, and more elusive.
    When he came on the scene Marciano was seen as a poorer version of Dempsey, and to some extent that is still true for me. Tko on cuts after the middle rds.

    Rocky is also there to be hit. And Dempsey had a much better defense. Yeah Dempsey was just "a shade" quicker :lol:
