I disagree. They were all highly unorthodox fighters, but you do get successful boxers with similar styles from time to time. Their styles worked because they had certain attributes that made them work, where they would have been suicidal for other fighters. It was true then, and it would be true today.
John, do you have any fights online I can watch? Have you been boxing more than 3 weeks? Can you show me your form? Punching on the bag or something? I'd love to compare your boxing ability to Baers.
OK, so tell me how Jimmy Slattery, Muhammad Ali, Oscar Bonavena, George Foreman, Roy Jones, Vitally Klitschko, David Haye, Carl Froch were technically sound?
Getting hit by a good white fighter, generally feels much like getting hit by a good black fighter. You wont see the colour of the hand, for the gloves!
Jack And tex Ricker manager avoided the likes JJ ,Langford, Jennette, mcvey. for what reason do you think? The last black bro he fought John Lester Johnson in 1916. Some records state that the fight ended in a draw. Others state that Johnson defeated Dempsey. Dempsey was quoted as saying that the punch, which broke three ribs, was "the hardest I've ever been hit. Black boxers have different rhythm and explosive like energy. Find me a white boxer with Roy Jones like reflexes.
For someone who does this often, I can't find him doing it once in his Johnson fight footage. Here he is maintaining a great stance. Actually he's more balanced than he should be at his size. https://youtu.be/IFZVlsLs9Eo?t=5m36s
