Can't tell if you're being serious or sarcastic to lead Reznick on. Willard's punching technique is inferior, especially that straight right to the body.
Watch Willard's footwork when he's retreating from Johnson in the footage I posted. Embarrassingly awful for reasons that should be clear to anybody who understands the sport. I hope you understand the huge difference between the footwork in that clip and Golovkin's while cutting off the ring laterally, and Vitali's one step when he was about to go in for the kill against a near-death Briggs.
Can I ask you guys something? If Willard-Johnson replicated this exact moment here, how would you summarize them? https://streamable.com/gop4
Replicated how, exactly? The answer's no, but I want to make sure I understand what you're getting at.
I misread your question! Am I assuming that the context is the same (that the bigger fighter has already beaten his opponent to the brink of death and thinks he's ready to go at any moment)?
Kevin, is this overhand by Wilder more or less telegraphed than Dempseys first hook here? You said this hook was telegraphed by Dempsey, and I'm curious as to how you judge modern fighters when they actually, clearly telegraph a punch. https://streamable.com/zme4 https://streamable.com/d6dd
Change my opinion how? Would I think it's an ok way to box because someone modern did something similar? No.
