Dempsey vs the following fighters

The only challenge may be Patterson because of the speed.

But Paterson loses as well. Why did you pick these fighters?

Probably KOs most. Has some problems with Chuvalo and Folley

 

I think Dempsey might **** up Patterson even faster than Liston did.

 

I dont envision any problems for the Mauler.

 

Dempsey wins all of them, chuvalos probably the only one who makes the distance

With the answers received from this thread. Dempsey could also beat Ali.

I have always thought Ali would have a helluv a time against Dempsey. This really helps with that decision. Since Jack does so well against this competition, we now have to consider Liston, Norton, Frazier and Foreman vs Dempsey. That is if we are keeping to the theme of Ali opponents.

 

George Chuvalo this could actually be pretty competitive. Dempsey was similar to Tyson in that he tried to get a blow out early finish from the opening bell. This could actually backfire if he cant get the ref to stop it because no way he flattens him when so many other big punchers failed to KO the Canadian. Over 12 if he blows his load, his toughnes could help him survive and take an ugly split decision due to his earlier efforts. Over 15 Chuvalo's body work oays off and he wins by upset KO late. Both these scenarios are less likely but not impossible. 6/10 Dempsey either forces a stoppage around the 6th or fights smart realizing how durable his opponent is and wins by UD.

1965 Floyd Patterson patterson was diminished but won fight of the year. He still had power and won a clean KO over Herring. Still, i have to favor dempsey due to pattersons chin and age. A clash of styles leads to a thrilling phone booth fight for about 4 rounds before Dempsey decks him twice and the corner throws in the towel.

Henry Cooper both men trade hooks and have the crowd on their feet after taking turns knocking each other down. Dempsey by brutal bloody TKO in 2.

Zora Folley at his best folley gave a prime sonny liston all he could handle and had good wins over doug jones and bonavena. It would be a good fight with a lot of give and take. Dempsey drops him at least once and takes a close decision.

Karl Mildenberger very awkard fight with a clash of heads in the 3rd. Dempsey is cut and becones desperate trying to see out his eye and adjusting to the south paw stance. By the 5th its do or die and he lets everything go to win by ko after pressing into close range and hammering down stairs and upstairs.

1967 Cleveland Williams similar to the firpo fight, but in reverse. He walks into a bomb underestimating Williams and is nearly out, needing to rise to the canvas and shake it off. He rallies and it becomes a beautiful display of savagery with both men looking like they stuck their face in a blender. No defense or technique whatsoever. Both men winded and leaning on each other in the 2nd round. Dempsey takes him out with a hook to the body then collapses. Both men are taken out on stretchers.

Ernie Terrel a very frustrating fight. Terrel befuddles and annoys Dempsey with his spoiling tactics and takes the decision.

 

I have to go with Dempsey vs them all probaly by KO, Dempsey had fast hard hands & might even stop Chuvalo depended on when the fight took place & how much punishment the ref allowed. I met Dempsey at his restaurant as a teen and I have met most of the recent champs Patterson, Ali Holmes Frazier Tyson, Walcott and some old timers like Tunney, I was most impressed with Frazier and Dempsey and Walcott I met when he was in his mid-50's all scary looking dudes-who you would have to shoot with a 9mm or up
