Walcott has a counter punching festival and stops Dempsey, mid-late after Walcott settles in and finds the timing.

Dempsey would be favourite. A Walcott upset would hardly be seismic, though.

Walcott is the classic spoiler with power in both hands and shares the talent with Ali and Tunney as some of the best legs north of Light heavyweight. Dempsey is an elite puncher with speed and immense killer instinct. Game plan and condition would mean a lot in this competitive match-up...JJW can execute a plan and drop Dempsey like he did Louis x3 and Marciano x1 but Dempsey was also relentless...Can JJW concentrate on his plan he could drop Jack and admire his work and get up and shuffle, strut and shift but JJW did suffer from a void vs Louis in fight 2 and Marciano in fight 1 and both were late in the fight with JJW getting ****y vs Louis and worn down vs Rocky. Can JJW maintain mind control vs a powerful and relentless JD or does the arm chest and heart punches get to him....Hard to say for me Walcott on a great night could beat anyone but when he was cold or lost his concentration he could be caught....JJW was one of the most skilled powerful pin-point punching heavyweight on a great night and Dempsey was one of the meanest ( like a hungry Tiger) reminds me of a big Duran

    great match-up tough pick
