    :-(

Russian boxer-heavyweight Denis Boytsov put into an artificial coma in a hospital in Berlin, where he was taken after he was found with serious injuries in the subway tunnels. About it reports on Monday, may 11, Hamburger Abendblatt.
Fighters, according to the newspaper, was discovered by the driver of the train on the tracks between stations Bismarckstrasse and Wilmersdorfer Strasse. He had a severe head injury and damaged hands. The boxer was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
In a coma 29-year-old Boytsov doctors were forced to enter due to the outbreak of severe brain edema. Police launched an investigation into the incident.
Fighters performs on a professional ring since 2004, he has 36 wins (27 by knockout) and one defeat. In March 2015 he defeated the Brazilian boxer Irena Beta Costa Junior.
According to the consultant Boytsova Gagik Khachatryan, three weeks later, the boxer must be the father.

    BERLIN -
He is regarded as the great hope in the German heavyweight boxing: Denis Boytsov, Russian by birth and choice-Berlin. But now the 29-year-old is in the ICU. The boxer was found in an underground tunnel, he was half dead on the tracks. The police is clueless.

"A metro driver noticed lying between the tracks man on Sunday before about 16:30 clock between Bismarckstraße stations and Wilmersdorferstraße" said a police spokesman. He continued: "He was taken to hospital with a head injury, operated on immediately and has since been intensive medical care." More can not or will not tell the police at present. Also at Team Sauerland, boxing for the Boytsov, keeping a low profile. "We know that he is in the hospital and we wish him a speedy recovery," said a spokesman. More will not be said.

However, as the courier learned from a reliable source, Boytsov should have been in front of someone on the run when he ran on that Sunday risking their lives in the underground tunnel. Against whom, but it is unclear.

Has Denis Boytsov possibly enemies? Ever since he was taken under the wing of boxing legend Ulli Wegner, see connoisseurs of the scene while the Russians as "one who might inherit the Klitschkos." The big breakthrough was Boytsov hitherto denied, however. "Denis is really a gem," his coach Ulli Wegner said late last year. "He has a great disposition for boxing, but mentally too vulnerable." Another companion of the 29-year-old, who asked not to be named, is clearer words: "Denis is a great guy. But in choosing his friends he should be more careful ..

More google translating had this nugget of info.

Denis Boytsov was found last week in a Berlin subway tunnel between stations Bismarckstraße and Wilmersdorferstraße . Doctors put him in an induced coma .

Terrible news, they have been quick to say non-boxing related. But, surely that's the end of his career and will take him a long time to recover - IF he ever does.

In the wake of all the May VS Pac and the constant hate of boxers etc, lets remember everyone of the fighters who enter that ring are warriors and we as fans should sometimes remember the bigger picture. Even so this is non-boxing related apparently, we should support our fighters in times of tragedy.

Strange times we live in where people can now project their opinions far and wide, and for some reason these tend to be negative for the most part...but it also allows us to pull together and offer condolences and support where possible. Well said, sometimes we need to slow down and reflect on what really matters. Hope he makes a full recovery.

I hope he's going to be OK. Recently we've had the tragedies with Mago, Augustus (among others and also a number of ring fatalities) and now this.

To be fair, good ideas are not really synonymous with being drunk.

    Edit

Nevermind, looks like he was attacked by someone and left for dead in the railways.

By the sounds of it, looks like the Russian mafia might've been involved.
